Accounts that hold up to scrutiny
An audit looks routine until the report is actually read — by a bank before it sanctions a loan, a board before it signs off, or a lender’s concurrent auditor checking day-to-day compliance. Then weak internal controls, unreconciled balances or a gap between the books and the bank statement all come to light. We test the numbers properly, document what we find, and issue a report that says what it needs to say.
Karol Bagh’s businesses range from private limited companies and partnerships to NBFCs and trusts, each with a different audit mandate and reporting format. We also handle the tax side that runs alongside the audit — tax audit under Section 44AB, TDS reconciliation, and the disclosures that follow from what the audit finds.

Why it matters
01
Tested, not just signed
Balances, vouchers and controls are checked against source documents before the report is signed, not assumed from the ledger.
02
Flagged early, not at year-end
Concurrent and internal audit findings are shared as they’re found, so they can be fixed before the statutory audit or the bank’s review.
03
The right format, not a generic report
Statutory, tax, bank and internal audit reports each follow their own format — we prepare each to the standard the reader is actually checking against.
Documents we'll ask for
- Trial balance & financial statements
- Fixed asset register
- Bank statements & loan documents
- Previous audit report
- Purchase & sales registers
- Statutory registers & minutes book
Common questions
A statutory audit is required under the Companies Act (or your governing law) and reports on whether the financial statements give a true and fair view. A tax audit is required under Section 44AB of the Income Tax Act once turnover crosses the prescribed limit, and reports separately on matters relevant to tax computation. Most businesses that need one need the other, and we run them together to avoid duplicate work.
Yes. Concurrent audit is an ongoing, transaction-level review carried out to the bank or NBFC's own format and timeline, usually monthly. We work to the scope set out in the audit mandate and report directly in that format.
Yes. Internal audit can run as a standalone assignment — reviewing controls, processes and compliance on a periodic basis, with findings reported directly to management or the board, separate from the statutory audit.
